We recently took a site tour of the brand new Sonesta Bee Cave Austin. The hotel is located near the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave…which is short drive from downtown Austin, Texas. And it was gorgeous.
My favorite thing was the way they honored the local area. They had a subtle bee theme throughout the property. They also had really cool Austin touches throughout the hotel and rooms…including artwork featuring one of our clients, ACL Festival. And their restaurant, Meridian 98, features locally sourced foods and spirits. They really nailed it with the attention to detail.
And then there were the views. The hotel overlooks the beautiful Austin hill country. Not a shabby view to have while enjoying your meal.
So what types of events would be ideal for this property? Since it has 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, I think there are a few…
- Weddings. Since it’s so close to the Hill Country Galleria, there are lots of amenities close by. This makes it a perfect venue for out of town guests who want to experience the hill country. Their ballroom can accommodate up to 400 people in a banquet setup. It’s also close to popular weddings locations like Lakeway and Dripping Springs.
- Meetings. Whether it’s a small board meeting or a large corporate meeting, they’ve got the space to accommodate your group. They have a small boardroom, 2 meeting rooms (which can be divided) and their ballroom can be split into 5 rooms as well. They’ve even got free Wi-Fi for everyone to use.
- Conferences. Did I mention they have 10,000 square feet to utilize? If you’re planning a conference, they’ve got your back. The ballroom can be divided up into 5 separate rooms, so it’s perfect for a conference. Add in the 195 rooms and suites and you’re all set.
