Paint a picture of what brought you to H4H:
I started working in my first hotel when I was in high school, cleaning up tables after banquets. For some crazy reason, this ignited a passion in me and I knew I wanted a career in the hotel business. I’ve had a few internships in hotel food and beverage, and eventually made my way to a Marriott in Nashville, TN. At this beautiful property, I gained experience all over the board, front desk, kitchen, accounting, and most importantly sales and event planning. My husband and I then found ourselves being stationed at Fort Hood, TX for his career. I took a position as the Catering Sales Manager at a new Courtyard. Event planning and Catering Sales is where I realized my love for customer relationships. In this military town, I also found endless opportunities to give back to the community both professionally and personally. I am thrilled to find a position with Hotels for Hope that allows me to continue working and building strong relationships with customers in this industry, and also be able to give back to those in need.
Brag for a moment! What will make you an integral Global Account Manager with Hotels for Hope?
From day one of my experience in the hospitality industry, I have thrived on building relationships and customer service. I work hard for my clients and honor my commitments to them. They can depend on me, and trust me. No matter how big or small it is, the success of an event is extremely important to my client, and therefore important to me. I take care in all of my work and become personally invested in my business relationships.
